On a GE Monogram wall oven, F2 is the over-temperature code: the control has read the cavity climbing past the ceiling for the current mode and has cut the heat to stay safe. You may find the oven locked or dark after it trips. The cause is either a temperature sensor reporting a false high or a relay on the control that has stuck the element on.
How Monogram Controls Handle a High Reading
GE Monogram ovens map the sensor resistance to a temperature and compare it against a mode ceiling. Cross that ceiling and the control posts F2 and drops the heat, because a cavity that keeps climbing is the one scenario the safety logic is built to stop. On the Statement and Minimalist collections the behaviour is the same across bake, broil, and self-clean.
F2 is therefore a warning that something in the heat loop is not behaving, not a nuisance to be cleared and forgotten.
Sensor Drift Versus a Welded Relay
The gentler cause is an oven sensor that has drifted, so the control reads a temperature the cavity never reached and trips early. The more serious cause is a bake or broil relay on the control board welded closed, which keeps the element live even when no heat is called for, driving a model-specific over-temperature.

Keep It Off Until It Is Checked
A stuck relay can hold heat behind a closed door, which is the very hazard F2 catches. Leave the oven off rather than reset repeatedly, and have the control and sensor checked so the right part, and only the right part, is replaced.
